Two young horses stand facing each other, heads slightly lowered as if they were just sniffing one another. One figure sets a forehoof forward, the other stands calmly, which creates a quiet dialogue between them rather than a mere duplication. Craftsmanship and casting
Both figures are cast individually and patinated to match one another, so that they belong together as a pair without being identical. The sculpture is cast in solid bronze using the lost wax process, the technique that has been in use since antiquity. Every piece is chased and patinated individually by hand, and only then does the final colour appear.
